I create furniture and home goods, with much of my work inspired by the movement and connections in nature. Achieving a sense of flow is a major focus of my work. Much of my work involves shaping and bending. My goal is to work with the natural beauty and shape of the wood, elevating it with form to bring some added joy to everyday living.
I have always been interested in creating and exploring, first as a writer and later as a woodworker. After building and exploring the craft for over a decade part-time, I left my full-time science writing job to study full-time at the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship (CFC). I then went back to CFC after a short break to complete a Fellowship. I founded TangoWoods, with the goal to create useful and accessible pieces, that can bring a touch of the outside natural beauty inside.
