Kathleen’s materials of choice primarily include Argentium and Sterling Silver, sometimes accented with fine gold. Unusual stones, rich texture, organic shapes, ancient methods and techniques, are all very much evident in much of her work. Her preference is the look of a soft, hand-finished piece with the feel of antiquity and maybe the surprise of a contemporary element or a found object!
Kathleen and business partner, George Barris, hand cut and polish most of their own stones in their private Lapidary Studio. Drawn to unusual and interesting stones and fossils, they select rough material and small slabs of semi-precious stones, purchased mostly from small businesses, where they can meet with and talk with the actual miner/collector directly.
“Our final design, is driven by the stone itself. Our setting is intended to complement the hand cut stone, creating a truly one – of -a -kind piece”. Kathleen

I personally design and create one-of-a-kind and limited collections of Artisan Jewelry, by my own hand, in my studio in East Bridgewater, Massachusetts. My intent is to create jewelry for people to wear. I want your chosen piece to be your “go to” piece – a frequently worn “statement piece”, not the one you keep in a box for rare, special occasions only!
