I work in a wide variety of mediums, but the passion for wood carving and drawing are my favorites to create one-of-a-kind art pieces. For wood carving specifically, I use a variety of natural colors of wood. Each piece of wood is cut by a hand scroll saw, then all of the woods come together carved by hand-made tools, sanded, and then polished with a glossy spray to bring out the beautiful color of the wood. These pictures are made with carefully selected wood color that matches the mood of the theme, often incorporating oyster, glass, canvas, and charcoal pencil. All of the elements then come together to create a memorable, unique art experience.
In my Drawing, I am trying to heal the world by reflecting love, peace, and social issues, the majority of my art pieces are inspired by the music I listen to. The beat, the lyrics, and the emotions I feel from the music I am listening to while I am creating. The creation process is cathartic, allowing my emotions to spill out onto the paper (or any other medium) as a release. I hope my works speak far louder than mine.
