My prints begin with a series of thumbnail sketchs. After much exploration, I paint on a plexiglass plate using
either oil or acrylic paints. I experiment constantly with different mark making techniques. Currently I use a hand held press to transfer the image. Using these varied methods within this medium has lead to work that is ever changing and evolving.
Michael Perry is a lifelong resident of New England. He attended RI School of Photography and graduated from RISD. Currently his time is split between mediums - capturing the personality of pets and owners through photography and the exploration of monotype printmaking. Michael is a member of the AAM, Printmakers of Cape Cod and Monotype Guild of NE. Michael lives in Attleboro with his family.
