Carol Calabro is the artist/owner of Riverbend Cards. In her studio she creates art prints and notecards from her original art. The giclée art prints are printed on heavyweight archival fine art paper with archival inks. The notecards, are printed on 80lb (10-100%) recycled card stock. She also crafts lovely mini art magnets. The most recent additions to her art products line are unique hand crafted journals and match boxes with giclée art print covers.
Born and raised in Massachusetts Carol Calabro has been a working artist since graduating from Massachusetts College of Art with a BFA in Illustration in the late eighties. In addition to illustrating books, magazines and other published works, she has branched out to art fairs for the past two or three years. Beeswax crayon, at times combined with colored pencil, reveals a joyful appreciation of color. This also extends to her art created with watercolor and most recently digitally on the iPad. Whatever the medium, Carol's art is rooted in both storytelling and a deep appreciation for and inspiration from nature's beauty.
