Barry Hills was born and raised in Needham, Massachusetts. Mr. Hills graduated from the Art Institute of Boston, where he studied with Phillip Hicken and Murray Wentworth. Since 1972 he has been painting what he refers to as the “vanishing landscape”, America’s coastline. Some of Mr. Hills’ key influences have been studying with Sam Feinstein (of the Hans Hoffman school) and Lois Griffel. Over the past 50 years Barry has painted and shown his original work reflecting the years spent on Cape Cod and the Islands. He works in oils, acrylics and watercolors and is available for commissions. Mr. Hills, along with his wife Cristina own Barry’s Barn, in East Dennis, which is home to Barry’s studio.
