A cat, octopus, and dragon aren't the most likely of friends…
But together — through original art, children's books, stuffed animals, and accessories — this cartoon trio is on a mission:
To encourage kids and their families to see their own enough-ness, and to LOOK FOR GOOD THINGS in this crazy world.
My work largely consists of decorative, modern wood items; I create each item myself using a combination of wood burning, engraving, wood finish, and paint. The majority of my inventory consists of coasters - made from birch rounds (harvested from fallen trees), maple, walnut, and leopard wood. In addition to coasters, I also make jewelry boxes, bookmarks, ornaments, pet treat jars, and wall art (all wood).
When you start drawing to motivate yourself through the challenges of being, well, human, your products become more than just an avenue to make a living — they’re rooted in personal experience.
I began drawing my cartoon characters in 2017, as a newlywed and stepmom of two. The characters took on a life of their own, and grew into a business two years later, inspiring me to write them into children’s stories and to turn them into plush toys.
As an artist, my favorite medium is small ink illustration, brightened by watercolor or alcohol markers when the need for color strikes.
