Abstracted landscapes in oil and cold wax on wood panels and mixed media paintings and cards on paper.
Rebecca Padula is a musician and painter from Hinesburg, Vermont. For decades she has been a songwriter/guitarist and performer, until her artistic expression moved abruptly and fervently from songwriting to visual art in 2019.
She said, "I can't get enough of color, shape, line and composition. My eyes are hungry for art and I found a visual language inspired by the abstract expressionists and color field painters of the late 20th century."
Her work is mixed media, on paper and wood panels. Some go to materials are: acrylic paint, soft pastels, pencils, crayons, ink and oil with cold wax.
