3D Dimensional artwork Initial designs are painted using acrylic paint. Crushed eggshells off various shapes and sizes are added. Designs vary in the number of layers of eggshells, and some may take up to 15 layers to reach the dimensional effect desired. The final design is then painted again, sealed with several coats of acrylic sealer and framed.
I have been involved in the art/craft market for many years, previously owning a craft supply store for 18 years. Once closing the store in 1999, I started doing art and craft shows. Initially I worked with stained glass. In 2019, Covid moved me inside and I went back to my passion, art and began painting with acrylics, incorporating eggshells of various sizes for a dimensional effect.
