3D hand-crafted picture and ornament/magnets. These are created in a special technique called Paper Tole

A 3D picture is created in Paper Tole design by cutting out certain parts of multiple prints of an identical image- then shaping, layering and gluing the pieces to a base print. The artist crafts a realistic finished piece resulting from their skill of shaping and sculpting the work, and layering progressively smaller pieces of the image on top of each other. To finish the picture, a lacquer glaze is applied to highlight the 3D effect.

I learned the technique of 3D Paper Tole from my mom many years ago. She was a beautiful lady full of life and knowledge; a teacher and artist and fashion designer. I learned so much from her and want to continue on with her love for beauty and color in my artwork. I especially enjoy working on a personal picture of someone's request.
