Fisher Nantuckets is hand-woven jewelry, tote bags and accessories that are woven in the iconic weaving style of the Nantucket Lightship Basket. All pieces are hand-woven by owner, Abby Fisher out of Kingston, Ma.

I am Abby Fisher and started Fisher Nantuckets shortly after taking a family vacation to Nantucket and falling in love with the Nantucket Lightship Basket jewelry. I'd spent summers on Cape Cod ever since I was a child, so was very family with the Lightship Baskets, but the jewelry and handbags were something new and fascinating to me. After our vacation, I took a class on how to make a bracelet for myself and loved the process so much that I started making them as gifts and eventually started selling them in late 2019 as Fisher Nantuckets. Nantucket Lightship Baskets are signed by and known by the weaver, so it was important to me to include by last name and "Nantuckets" which encompasses all styles of Nantucket baskets, in the business' name. I hand weave and design all products out of my home in Kingston, Ma, and have since added handbags, clutch purses, and trinket bowls and trays to the Fisher Nantuckets Collection.

The Lightship Basket style of weaving is an American art form that has a very distinctive look. I am proud to carry traditional designs but also offer original designs that have been inspired by this iconic style of weaving. It is important to me to focus on originality, create modern pieces to suit our generation, and offer products in a very wide price range, making them accessible to every budget. Another key offering is that my baskets, handbags, and clutches are of heirloom quality. They will last a lifetime and can be passed down to the next generation. In an era of fast fashion, with many products being disposed of after a short use, this is very rare and something I am extremely proud to offer.
