Each piece of pottery is hand-thrown, glazed, hand-painted, and kiln-fired by Kevin Mathers. All pieces are food safe, microwave safe, dishwasher safe, and oven safe. There is a variety of pieces of different shapes and sizes that include berry bowls, vases, bowls, pie plates, lamps, spoon rests, mugs, goblets, and tea pots. Some pieces have hand-built animals applied to them before firings. Some pieces are decorative, while others are functional. However, each piece is unique.
Kevin Mathers studied ceramics at S.U.N.Y. Fredonia many years ago. He worked as a studio potter for over 40 years. Kevin spent a year in Denmark where he built kilns and designed pottery for a Danish company. He continues to experiment with new items and styles. His pottery pieces can be described as "earthy," "traditional," and "contemporary." They fit in with many types of home decor
