I tool up knitting over 15 years ago when my friend asked me if I wanted to take a class with her. Knitting became my "couch hobby" - something I could do and still watch tv at the same time. Now I've turned my little "couch hobby" into a small business. I only participate in shows between mid-September til Christmas as my scarves are more cold weather items. I only use acrylic or polyester yarns and my scarves are known for their coziness and softness.
I've been making my scarves & participating in craft shows for over 10 years. I find it very rewarding to be able to take this skill and make use of it. I work full-time as an office manager for an accounting firm. Knitting often provides relaxation and decompression from the busy and hectic work and life schedules.
