Combining machine sewing and hand-embroidery, we focus on creating wearable, useable and giftable goods. Everything is one-of-a-kind and made with care. Our best-selling products feature hand-stitched patches made of vintage wools. We offer our wool patches on cotton twill baseball caps, as barrettes, and on our woven cotton water bottle sling-bags (machine sewn by us). Other products (all made in our home studio) include: Stone pendants, woven cotton neck scarves, hand-drawn greeting cards, wool diffusers (for use with essential oils), and our “elemental” sun catchers (using leather and nature-found items).
We’re Eric + Killeen, the husband and wife duo behind Buttonwood. Buttonwood began as a retail shop featuring locally-sourced, nature-inspired gifts from independent artisans. Upon inheriting a treasure trove of vintage wool, woven cotton, and beautiful thread from Killeen’s late mum, we were inspired to create our own offering of handcrafted work. In 2026, Buttonwood evolved from a shop to a home studio. Today, we are proud to present a collection of purposeful, high-quality, low-impact goods, 100% of our own design.
