I use sea glass and sea shells to make fun, light portrayals of every day life. All hand collected materials from local beaches.
I began taking oil paintings lessons at age 8 and then sporadically over the years. I do watercolors including house portraits and have done quite few wall murals over the years. After my husband passed I was walking on the beach and found a mussel shell fragment that begged to be showcased as a seagull and soon I was seeing all sorts of subjects in sea glass and shell fragments. It has become both therapeutic to channel my grief into charming pieces that bring smiles to peoples’ faces.
