My background is in fine arts. I was educated at the University of Hartford Art School and earned my BFA degree in 1978.
I started making shell animals many years ago following in the footsteps of my grandfather who also had a creative flair. However, it wasn’t until the winter of 2020 in the midst of Covid and additionally, the loss of my husband of 39 years, that I started Created From the Sea. I had a big void to fill and needed to dive into a detail oriented artistic project to help bring back my joy of life.
