Quilts

I design and machine stitch quilts. Queen size 90ish x 108ish, which are cotton fabric front and back, with a middle layer of batting. Some larger quilts are reversible.

I make oversized quilted throws, generally 58 x 70, which are backed in fleece.

I also make quilted placemats, cotton fabric front and back with a middle batting.

All items are in a variety of colors, designs and themes, including Nautical and Christmas. Everything is machine washable. I wash all fabric before cutting and sewing to ensure no shrinkage.

I'm 65 years old and recently retired. My interest in sewing began early when my mom - a talented artisan in her own right - taught me to make an apron at age 6. I made my first quilt as a teenager. Sewing was a constant in my life as I raised a family of three boys. I had a successful career as a cake baker and decorator for 20+ yrs. I worked in catering after that as my significant other owned his own catering/rental company. Then - like so many others - Covid hit and I had time on my hands. I returned to my love of sewing and began making quilts. I haven't stopped since! I love the designing, planning, fabric choices, all of it - even the ironing! It's very fulfilling to me and I enjoy sharing the beautiful and quality results with others.
