I make Heirloom-quality jigsaw puzzles. Some are made of high quality wood laminates (maple, cherry, walnut, cedar, sapele, oak, hickory...) but the truly special ones are fashioned from a single piece of real tree - native VT species and salvaged antique wood - pine, cherry, maple, ash and mahogany bookshelves. I stumbled across the fun of making jigsaw puzzles in January of 2024 and have just started making them available to the public in the spring of 2025. The wood carvings and puzzles my grandfather made (and sold out of the trunk of his car) have inspired many of my works. These puzzles are unlike any jigsaw puzzles you've seen before; they're more like a fortune cookie than a traditional jigsaw puzzle. But, like my grandfather, I start each piece bringing out the beauty of a piece of wood and then doing something to it that makes it interesting. My mission is to make heirlooms your grandkids will fight over (that's what happened in my family!). I had only shown off a couple of my puzzles before people started asking me to do custom work, and I've since done corporate logos, memorials, birthday presents, Xmas gifts, and commemorations of life achievements.
