My name is Ned Mortensen and im a wood turner. My lathe is a Jet 1440. I normally do twice turning. I rough out the shape and my the walls a uniform thickness. Then I set the piece aside for the moisture level to lower to 10% then do the final shaping and thin the walls to my desired thickness.
