My grandmother taught me to sew on a Singer treadle machine at the age of 4. My love of design continued throughout my careers as a counselor and a Kindergarten teacher. One of my fondest memories was visiting fabric stores with my young daughter and watching her appreciate the various textures and designs. Inspired by nature, I began silk painting and designing fabrics that I could have digitally printed. Believing that women deserve high quality original designs that are fashionable and functional, I became an entrepreneur in 2014 when I founded Jarfette® Convertible & Adaptive Designs.
