We hand collect mussel, clam, oyster and scallop shells from the beaches of New England and wholesale purchase other shells we may need to create our hand-made wreaths, trees and ornaments. The shells are washed in a special solution to get rid of the organics and any odors then separated into sizes, shellacked and pearled. Next comes building a puzzle that will be the wreath or tree by laying and gluing shells so tightly together that the form can not be seen. Finished items are placed in a bed of moss in a white gift box.
The year 2020 was a year of frustration but also gave us extra time to work on our website and Instagram and to create new items. A new category we are introducing is called "Beach Blossoms", which are beautiful flowers that can brighten your home without the worry of watering. You will see a few samples of these along with a sample of trees, wreaths and ornaments.
