Rebecca Nase Chomyn fabricates beautiful hand cut and bent steel designs derived from nature. She creates art with butterflies, other insects, birds, flowers, leaves, trees, mountains and so much more. The sizes of her pieces range from a few inches to many feet. Her inside wall items are a wonderful alternative to a standard framed image. The large scale work heightens the appearance of your outdoor space during every season. The elegant swirling curls bring a touch of nature into any space. Some of the work is hand painted while others have a natural patina of raw steel. Rebecca takes a hard masculine material, and transforms it into a delicate, graceful piece of art. In addition to metal work and painting, she also draws murals in chalk. These murals are photographed and turned into beautiful blank note cards.
Rebecca Nase Chomyn is a Vermont native Metal artist. She earned a BFA in sculpture in NYC at Pratt Institute, then moved to northern CA for nearly a decade. Rebecca moved back to Vermont in 2012, with her husband to raise their 2 kids. She has been fabricating beautiful hand cut and bent steel designs for over 20 years under Twisted Perception Metal Works.
