Inspired by the elegance and grace of natural patterns, August Studio artist Xiaolian Yan blends delicate glass into wearable fashion. By enabling the free movement of lightness, balance, and color, each piece is designed to feel both expressive and effortless. Subtle variations and handmade imperfections are intentionally embraced, giving every creation its own individuality. She hopes her work empowers the daily lives of those who wear it. In addition to participating in art and craft shows, Xiaolian has consistently engaged in a variety of projects to deepen her artistic sensibility and refine her skills. Since 2022, she has been involved in glass workshops specializing in blown-glass jewelry. She also studied jewelry metalsmithing techniques from 2014 to 2019. Her college major in theatre directing opened the door to the broader artistic world and strongly influenced her creative perspective.
