I create handmade Sunchimes - which is a term I created for my combination of suncatcher windchime installations. They are made with beautiful K9 Crystals, high clarity glass, Capiz shells and mother of pearl shells. I create everything from hand, including drilling my own holes and custom chains. All my material is stainless steel for durability and also so that they can easily be hung outside as well. I hand ring all my strands with O rings which is also something I’ve never seen before with any similar products. I wood burn patterns on some as well. They come in all sizes and purposes from X- Large to XS bag charms, and single strands. I recently started using crystals in some of my pieces as well as the more rare black mother of pearl.
You Are My Sunchime pieces truly represent me as an artist and my journey to finally starting my small business. The attention to detail, the sparkle, the colors, and the aesthetic are unique in each and every piece that I create. Each piece is made with intention for every single small detail, from where I drill the holes for the hardware, to the length of the chains or different sized hooks ,to the wood burning or hand- dyed pieces, the color palettes , the specific shells I chose , and finally the order of the strands that I then begin to ring one by one until ready to be hung on the driftwood. As an artist I have spent years creating many , many different types of art and my Sunchimes are finally the one creation that truly made sense to me in all the ways I was hoping and waiting for with all my other endeavors.
