I am a bookbinder, I make journals by hand using traditional methods.
I also offer booklets, book earrings and other book related items, all hand crafted.
Books have always held an almost magical allure for my family – a captivating pull that enchanted all of us. They promise wisdom and knowledge, but also spark imagination and wonder.
Most valuable are those books that are handcrafted, where their appearance itself tells countless stories.
Bookbinding became a hobby when I started creating my own journals. It grew into a true passion when I began to bring new life to well read books of my childhood by mending torn pages and broken spines or rebinding them altogether.
Whenever I bind a book, nature is often my inspiration and so the written word fuses, in one way or another, with the local flora and fauna.
