I am continuing my body of work painting scenes of the coast. I have sharpened my craft a bit more. I am focussing on experiences that are relatable such as: walking by the water on a beach or walking over boardwalks over dunes, bird watching by the water, active boaters out on the ocean that capture a moment in time for anyone who wants to take a piece of the coast with them home. I would love to offer a new service in particular to the community of Gloucester and paint memories from boaters based on requests.
I paint with primarily acrylics now. I aim for realism with elements that are playful and have movement. I love to paint on canvas paper usually 16x20 in size. I have painted on round, 2 inch thick canvases to offer a new fresh idea for paintings that act as "portals to the coast" in a way. A few new products I have been selling at fairs are greeting cards with my artwork as well playing cards. I find these offer great meaningful gifts for families or travelers.
