Hi. I’m Melissa Mengel, the owner of SALT AND BRANCH. I’ve been a lover of fragrances from a young age and started making candles in 2019 as a creative outlet from my career as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. In 2020, I founded Salt and Branch, a home decor brand that celebrated locally, handmade items. In 2021, I launched my candle line and pivoted to selling our own handmade products. Since then, SALT AND BRANCH has grown to have multiple product lines and we are opening our new fragrance studio at the Sandpaper Factory in Rockland, MA in February 2026.
