Hi I'm Addy and the maker behind Ocean Plastics, where I use microplastics I've collected and turn it into jewelry and accessories. All plastic is hand-collected by me and then handmade by me. Ocean Plastics is on a mission to remove harmful microplastics from the ocean and turn it into sustainable accessories that you’ll feel proud to wear. Every piece pulls harmful plastics out of the ocean that would otherwise be eaten by marine life and has a direct impact in reducing pollution in the community they live in. Fashion is one of the few choices we make every day and Ocean Plastics' goal is to provide consumers with options that help the oceans and the planet.
Ocean Plastics started out of my love for the ocean. I grew up working on my family's oyster farm in Duxbury, MA and then I studied how microplastics affect oysters while in college. During Covid, I wanted to make something fun for my family and friends that helped the oceans so Ocean Plastics was born!
