My name is Dorothy Goulet and I am a semi-self-taught watercolor artist from Louisiana. I came to Vermont in 2016 by way of Germany and Guam, where I worked for the US Department of Defense schools for two decades. I have been a classroom teacher for 31 years and an online teacher for 4 years. I teach French, sociology, psychology, AP Psych, and Women's Studies for VTVLC (Vermont Virtual High School) and art as a side-hustle. I taught art in my early teaching years, but almost exclusively French and history after that. I took a break from hobby art to go to grad school, earning Master's and Ph.D. degrees. I am back to making art, now as a profession, and I am loving life in gorgeous Vermont. My husband is retired from the Air Force and now works as an auditor for the state, and we have two dogs and two cats to keep us busy and happy.
