I design and fabricate all my pieces, using sterling, 14k gold, and other accent metals, often combining them with unique gemstones, as well as freshwater and Tahitian pearls. Found objects, such as stones and seas glass are also incorporated in my summer collection. Included are rings, earrings, chains, pendants, necklaces, cuffs, bracelets and pins.
Working alone in my home-based studio, I have made jewelry for over 20 years, starting out as a "beader" and gradually building skills as a silversmith. While largely self-taught, I have taken many courses in jewelry-making and metal work from respected artists in the field as I continue to learn and advance my skills. Jewelry-making is my secondary creative life, striking a balance with my vocational work as a professional classical vocalist. In both fields, color and vibrancy are paramount.
