I have a wide array of handmade knit and crochet garments and accessories- ski hats and beanies for all ages, a variety of scarves and cowls, some with handmade details and buttons of wood or antler, hand-dyed scarves in an array of colors, as well as a line of handbags and clutches. I also offer some items for children from tots to teens. I have baby booties with hand needle felted embellishments, handmade raddles with recycled raddle components, customizable baby blankets, lined baby jackets, and a line of handmade stuffed animals based on the woodland animals of Vermont. I have a variety of size inclusive dusters and cardigans. I also have a small line of jewelry that is designed to compliment the knit and crochet garments all made from natural elements like stone and even driftwood from Lake Champlain. I also have some elegant items for the home including hand knit wool blend blankets in a herringbone pattern and sturdy extra large wool baskets. I am also working on a line of hand spun yarn and crochet hooks from the natural elements of Vermont.
As a third-generation knitter and fiber artist with over 30 years of experience, I have woven my passion for textiles into the very fabric of my life. My journey in the world of fibers began as a familial legacy, handed down through generations, infusing my work with a rich tapestry of tradition and craftsmanship.
While still in high school, I found myself drawn beyond the realms of fiber art, exploring the intricate world of jewelry craftsmanship under the guidance of a professional jeweler. This unique detour allowed me to expand my artistic horizons, infusing my creations with diverse influences and techniques.
I went on to pursue a career as a professional educator. However, life took an unexpected turn when health issues compelled me to reevaluate my path. It was during this challenging period that my passion for knitting emerged as a lifeline and a source of solace. Recognizing the transformative power of creativity in my own healing journey, I decided to pivot toward a more sustainable vocation.
Making things has always been more than a creative outlet for me; it's a profound expression of my love for craftsmanship and sustainability. I channel this love into my work by creating classic styles that transcend fleeting trends. Each piece I craft is a testament to the enduring beauty of timeless design, intended to last for years and even generations to come.
In every stitch, I weave together the threads of tradition, passion, and a commitment to sustainable craftsmanship. My art is not just a reflection of my skills, but a narrative of resilience, evolution, and a deep-seated dedication to creating enduring pieces of wearable art.
