My specialty is our coins. I use a jewelers saw to hand-cut out the background to highlight their designs. Approximately 20 years ago I began painting coins. I use an enamel based paint and fire them in a kiln. They are sealed with acrylic to prevent chipping, scratching or fading. Doris is the family silversmith. She uses hand-wrought techniques in her bracelet, earrings, and pendant designs.
We started making jewelry in 1978 in Phoenix, AZ. We settled in Stowe, VT and opened a store. Even with our shop we continued to do craft shows. We moved to North Carolina in 2004 but we continue to do craft fairs in New England in the summer and fall.
